WOMEN’S POULTRY PROJECT

KULE has worked with the village women through its Summer Program and its former 3rd Year Option students from Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific.  It hopes to continue these partnerships.  However, we aim to solicit donations to be able to provide this Murang'a village with a more secure source of assistance to sustain the project. Please click link to donate.

Given the level of poverty in the district, KULE intends to help a village women’s group to start this income generating opportunity for the community.

"This trip has opened my eye to the suffering that goes on not just in Africa but also around the world….Thank you so very much for helping me understand the world and what can be done to change it."
Will Steeves, Mulgrave School

“After the first day in Kenya, I knew my life would never be the same. Everything I once took for granted I will now cherish. There are so many people less fortunate than I am and they are happier than I have ever been. I will now look at things in more perspective and be thankful that I am alive and lucky enough to have everything that I have. Thank you so much for all that you have put into this trip; it was amazing.”

Sara Fenwick, Queens University, Canada

“Seeing extreme poverty for the first time was extremely shocking…yet for such people to be content with life, and with God – even in the face of poor, dangerous, and sometimes life threatening conditions was eye opening and inspiring.”
Erik Vantomme, Saskatchewan, Canada (Pearson College).
